How it was built

Zefana started Kulisse on 22 October 2026. Three days later it held 5,896 named backgrounds in 40 categories and 375 color palettes, each with its own name and a note on what kind of site it suits.

It is a static site written in TypeScript: no server, no tracking and nothing loaded from other sites.

One background opened large, with its category, mood and hues, and sliders to tune it.

Checked, not guessed

Every preview is the exact CSS you copy, and the text in every palette passes the WCAG AA contrast check. 70,942 automated tests guard both.

Where it is now

It keeps growing, batch after batch: new categories, dividers, shadows and collections for each kind of site.
